CDL recap

well, CDL 2010 is finally over. too bad we didn't make it into top 4, seeing as we nearly got thrashed by our sister team Storm. i must say, they really have come far since their founding early this year.

semi-finals were kinda surprising. both had the score tied at 3-3, both had to resort to sudden death, both were decided by a player crossing the line. coincidence anyone?
final match between Devil Dukes and Barbarians was epic. both teams really gave it their all, and the score was damn close --- 4-3. i'm hoping they upload the full 20 minutes on youtube, simply the first game of each half isn't enough =)

that said, i'm frankly disappointed that i didn't manage to get selected for the all-stars team, although the statistics were pretty messed up according to wai tat.
seriously, based on their current system, if i only threw once and killed a player with that throw, i would have 100% accuracy while same applies to catching. i mean, what the hell man.
it's damn unfair to these players who played a lot of games and killed more even though they didn't kill with every shot. the lineup for all-stars was kinda disappointing too. some players really deserved it, while some of the other players really didn't deserve it.

after this rant, i really am starting to worry about Hyenas next year. with SAM coming to an end and ADP relocating to lakeside, our players have really significantly decreased. i don't want to be the called the generation where Hyenas met it's end, i really don't.
Hyenas has really brought me lots of fond memories and great times even though we never really won anything, and i don't wanna lose nor deny future potentials from that =(

18th!!!

well, birthday's officially over. i'm 18! what a lovely number, and it matches my birth date too =D

still, this year's birthday wasn't that spectacular, as the norm with past years, but at least i had a 10-day earlier celebration, which was a total surprise to me (i was expecting to treat soon yee to a meal, instead of getting treated a cake!). the free "facials" were well, a norm during birthday celebrations by peers so i won't say too much about that, though the video of eu jo and soon yee was epic.
i kinda wished i had taken a picture with just me and hui chuin, but well, there's always another time! (hopefully ><)

jackpot madness was just, disappointing. i thought we would have at least gotten past the group stages, even as far as getting into finals, but everything was just...messy. to think about it, it's kinda a waste to come back early for it when i could have celebrated my birthday in penang instead of hiding in my room in subang jaya, ALONE ==

overall, this year's birthday wasn't that exciting, neither was it that boring. another pretty average birthday. cheers. WOOHOO

Idiot

i, seriously am a big fucking idiot.
did i really have to take it that far, knowing that person can't tolerate jokes of such a nature?

and, i went and did it even though i knew. life's so wonderful now. sighs.

can someone just get a big sledgehammer and pound me face-first into the floor, please?

Bar Night Afterthoughts

it's 6 a.m. and i'm still awake =.= 

bugger...

i'm seriously not suited to places with smoke & liquor saturated air. i hate smoking, and i dislike drinking. if it wasn't mariam's farewell, i wouldn't even have went to movida... the whole night i was there, i just watched people getting themselves wasted. bleh.

i wouldn't say i just sat there doing nothing, i did go down to the dance floor, and had a few gulps of liquor, but that's just that. seriously in my opinion, getting high isn't worth its consequences...

and now i just feel i'm kinda like a failure. look at eujo and junmin, both have made some damn close friends, both have damn good grades and really fun experiences here. just look at their video...

it's not like i haven't got my share of fun experiences here, indeed i do have quite a number: taylor's closed dodgeball tournament, mapcu & figos, just to name a few, but i've never really felt quite at home here... i just don't get a feeling that i belong here, a feeling that i fit in...

was it a mistake choosing to come to taylors for my a-levels? or should i just have stayed at penang for it?

Wires & Chemicals

sunday night totally wasn't a great night to sleep. electricity got cut off, room became damn hot and mosquitos became damn annoying. all because of this little wire...

ended up going to college early for the air-conditioning  =.=

fast forward to today, i re-encountered something which was why i started enjoying chemistry practicals in the first place. remember the qualitative analysis stuff back in high school? this was my favorite reaction =)

it's fun to mix various stuff together and get unexpected stuff to happen, especially if the visual effects are nice and nothing bad happens. yeah

this golden glittering stuff. SHINYYYYY

accomplished this early in the year. was never able to recreate it again though. sigh

and ohya, being the cameraman is damn fun. especially when you get to take idiotic pictures like this

A New Start

well, it's been a while since i last blogged---about what i've done, where i've been, basically anything about my life to be exact. i kinda just abandoned my last blog somewhere in january or february, i just can't recall.

i'm not sure why, but i just had to have this sudden urge to start blogging all over again. maybe it's just because i'm too bored, maybe it's because i'm feeling like a loner, or maybe it's because i've seen more of some really amazing blogs, anyways, it doesn't really matter.


after the whole load of crap i just typed above, here's the main thing---I'M BACK INTO BLOGGING!
